So I have an AMD X2 4200... 65w...

Idle it is bouncing between 18-20c... when I overclocked it to 2.6ghz (from 2.2) it is idling at 22c... under-load it hits like 34c.

But if I push it any further it won't post... could it be my memory (Patriot DDR2 667) ? I'd be comfortable with 50c under load if I could get like a 1ghz overclock...

FSB @ 236 and Multi @ 11 and Vcore @ 1.35

My temps dropped like 12-14c from my CoolerMaster Elite 330 to an Antec 900...

All I have is an Arctic Freezer 64...

What are you using to measure your temps? Do you the latest mobo bios? Seems like everytime I get crazy low temps there is a bios update that resolves the issue. Those temps seem really low for that chip. I could get my old Opty into the 30's at idle and upper 40s under load with a scythe Ninja.

Try different programs like SpeedFan & CoreTemp, and see which one is stating the right temperature.

Well that was at night, and it was fairly cold in the room.. low 60's maybe...

Now the core is at 26c but I was just playing source for 2 hours... (like 30 seconds ago...)

it's probably closer to 30c ambient... all 4 of my harddrives are up 4-5c then I last checked ( at night)
