Temps randomly raise.

Ok, so i caved and went and got vista home basic (wanted dx10 but no aero) and installed it last night. The first time ive used coretemp .95 because .94 wouldnt work with vista. Its reporting temps 10 c warmer on startup and then it goes down to a difference of 4 c or 5 c on idle. was coretemp . 94 wrong or is .95 wrong or is it just vista puttin a bigger load on my cpu.

What processor are you using? If CPUz reports it as a revision L2 then CoreTemp 0.95 is likely reporting your core temperatures 15C higher than reality. What sort of numbers are you getting at idle and when running Orthos and what is your room temperature?

im usin my athlon x2 4400 + my idle temp is ~40c, normally its ~ 32-34c. my room temperature is 76 f. i dont run orthos cus it always crashes (overclock is non orthos stable, but stable for everything else)
