I have a 734 2800+ that a very weird thing is happening to. When I overclock the temps go down on the CPU. I have a EPoX 8KDA3I. It is a very well ventilated case with 2 intake and 2 outtake 80mm fans.
Following is a summary of temps with normal non-intensive operation:
39C 1.8 ghz, (9x200) cpu vcore set at auto.
37C 2 ghz, 200 mhz overclock (9x222), vcore +.05
32C 2.1 ghz, 300 mhz overclock (9x233), vcore +.1
I have confirmed temps and speeds with USDM (EPoX app for motherboard), Everest, and CPU-Z. It appears that the core likes the higher volts. Does anyone have ideas?
Thanks!
