Hey I just put a couple of swiftech water blocks on my IWILL DH800 and according to the bios I'm at 47 degrees IDLE.... which seems a bit high although it is cooler than when I had the retail fan/heatsinks on them. I don't know if this is one of those don't listen to your motherboard kind of things but motherboard monitor isn't compatible with this board so i can't check it using that for real time.... The room it is sitting in does run a little warm so 28-30C on average... my set up runs CPU1- CPU2- pump- radiator-reservoir-CPU1.... I used 1/2in internal diameter tubing... The radiator is a black ice extreme II with two vantec stealth 120mm fans mounted directly to the rad (one fan pushing, one fan pulling, rad is outside the case on the side). I put an additive zerex super coolant but it is diluted with distilled water. I'm pretty sure I screwed down the water blocks enough but I've never done it before and didn't want to tighten too much. from what I could see it was pushing the ceramique out the edges of the processor so I assumed good enough.

The computer runs fine and quite but I just wanted to see if I have something set up wrong... I probably wont change it b/c the system is rock stable... overclocking 2.8Ghz to 3.2Ghz at stock voltages is good enough for me... especially since my ram is 1x corsiar, 1xOCZ, and 2xGeil.... gives me 2GB but not in a pretty way :)

Bring it out to my house tomorrow and I'll look at it................. I live south of where you're at............;)

First problem would be the fans on your BIX II radiator, you should have both fans on one side or the other or 4 fans in a push/pull setup.

Another might be to much AS ceramique if it's pushing alot out the edges of the core.......... :D

ok I'll set up the fans so they are both pushing to see if that helps... they are both on the same side just facing opposite directions for fan flow. The AS ceramique wasn't really gooping out tons.. it had just started to push out which is what I was kind of waiting on when tightening and using a level to make sure it was all pressed in correctly... but either way you'd agree to hot....

I actually live in Saint Peters.... close to Saint Louis.... This was my first attempt at water cooling and it went ok.... I made several mistakes setting it all up and it doesn't fit in my Lian Li PC-65 like I had hoped even after removing all the trays.... oh well lesson learned. I do like the lack of noise... I just need to replace my hd fan that is for my 10K IV drive and I'll be set... those little fans put out a lot of noise when you remove the cpu heatsink/fans that come stock...

I'm not fully up on your CPU's but 47 c idle is warm for a water cooled system. Try setting your fans so that they both pull the air through the radiator. Another thing is that your fans are a little weak for a BIX II, they are pretty thick and have fairly restrictive air flow. You might want to use some stronger fans ...... ;)

My current pump is Hydor Seltz L30 Pump with 1/2" barbs... I noticed the stealths don't blow that much air compared to these massive 120mm el cheapo fans I bought off of another site awhile ago... however i don't want the fans too loud b/c that would negate me using water cooling... But 47 degrees is kind of not what I was expecting for temps either... I'd think if my water blocks weren't seated I'd be a lot hotter b/c they wouldn't be pulling any heat away but the water in the lines coming from the cpu is pretty warm so I figure they are doing there job.

I haven't been home b/c my brother just got married but I'll try different fans and orientating them both in the same direction.... thanks and I'll let you know what happens....

compact
quiet
high-performance

pick two

But that pump is a bit weak for such a large loop, IMO

really? I didn't know what flow rate I really needed but the water looks like it is really moving well through the reservoir... I guess more research would have done me better... however switching the fans out decreased the temps like 2 or 3 degrees...
