Temporary files from SP1?

I just completed a fresh format and installed XP SP1. Are these temporary files from the installation and safe to delete?

C:\9f6094bf806d6ec72620880ae92193af
C:\fd9

All contains, exactly & only:
\sp1\update\update.exe & spcustom.dll.

I've always deleted them, without issue....but wait for some other opinions before doing it.

Shouldn't have any problems. Truthfully, I'm surprised the update didn't delete them on its own.

If you are nervous about it and want to see, delete them and just leave them in the recycle bin for a while.
