Anyone know what a decent temperature is for running a Phenom X4 is? I got a Black Edition so I can easily overclock, but I don't want to overheat it too much.

Thanks!

Don't know about that chip in paticular.

If you want tp play it realy [H]ard.
Keep OC-ing till:

Smoke
Becomes unstable for folding.
The mobo runs out of integers on the FSB.

Not nessasarly in that order.

Make sure you have a decent mobo. I tried overclocking on a cheap one and blew a few mosfets

amd i believe your good at 75C or below.. they do not run that hot.. so pretty much compare the phenom II temps with the core 2 quad 45nm's.. the AMD's do run a higher voltage then the intel counter parts.. but the temps seem to match up exactly with the core 2 quads at the exact same speeds if your using a decent cooler..

theres a lot of reviews on the phenom II with various overclocks.. but seems to be very hit and miss on what you can max out at.. so its going to be a complete trial and error crash course on overclocking the phenom II..

just play with the multiplier and voltages.. and dont waste your time with the FSB overclock until the end..
