OK - stupid question. I have a water temp probe -- what header do I plug it into on the motherboard? A Fan header? But which 2 pins?

Thanks

Unless you have one of the rare mobos that accept such a thing, you can't do that.

Might want to clarify what mobo you have.

EVGA X58 3x SLI. Bummer. Will pick up a little lcd. I figured you could plug them into a fan header / sensor.

How would that work. all a fan header is is :+12v, ground and rpm input.

you would need a 2 pin header that was specific for the job.

but any fan controller that has temp sensors should work.

the temp sensors on the motherboard are fixed to the moterboard usualy under the cpu etc.

Thanks for the responses. I figured the 2 wires were ground and temp. Oh well. Looking for a little LCD like they used to put in the Lian-Li cases now.
