What do you use? i used to use Motherboard Monitor 5, and Ati Tray Tools, but it took up so much resources so i uninstalled them. Im looking for new tools so what do you guys use thats accurate, up to date (mbm5 hasnt updated in a year), and uses little resources?

mbm isnt being developed anymore the developer said no more updates
speed fan is perhaps the best there is as long as you dont need to chart the temps or whatever, rivatuner is the only tool you should use for graphics card monitoring

Nothing but a calibrated probe(usually multimeter)

mobo readings for voltage, bullshit for most part. mobo readings for temp? inaccurate by up to 30 degrees and you never know what direction or how much until someone tells you the actually deviance

i look at speed fans reading for voltages youd think its mad unstable and drooping, measure with a multimeter, its actually to spec or a lil more voltage then is needed(after seeing that i always scratch a lil insulation off the voltage regulator for w/e's inductor and measure that way)


to sum it up i consider voltage readings next to useless, and i take temperature readings with a grain of salt unless you know exactly how much off and in what direction your motherboard is, like i KNOW my ic7 reports cpu temp 3-5 degrees C hotter then it really is

its pretty much a given that its off, not one mobo is on the mark, and the cpu's probe is a huge factor, if you really wana know how far off it is you need to use a external probe, but you need to have it close to the core(touching is best, probably quite easy to do for heat spreaders) not some its on the heatsink bullshit just remember you cant sandwich the probe, they are way too thick and dont conduct enough heat

and if you go through the trouble of setting up a probe you might as well use a digidoc or somthing for temperature readout

what the mobo temp readout is good for is comparisons, like load vs idle type or before and after some mod
like i know the difference between load and idle on my 6800 is 40C idle vs 48C load
