Ok, so I was running my Asus x800Pro with everything stock (speed, fan, heatsink, thermal paste, etc) for almost a year now. In Everest Home, no matter what I was doing, my ambient temps were always at least a couple degrees lower then that. This is the first video card that I've seen with an ambient temp reading. I figured that it was a reading from inside the fan housing. Now I've recently gone with water cooling. And might I say that I really love it. My idle temps litterally dropped 20*C of the vid card, and that's even on the same loop right after my CPU block. But anyway, now my ambient temps are higher then my core temps.... And the ambient temps are still there with no fan on the card, so I now have no idea what the ambient temp is even reading. My core temp at idle is around 28/29*C (where as it used to be around 50*C) and ambient temps is around 34/35*C. But the ambient temp does not change at all with or without load. With load in the middle of BF2. My core temps only get to abour 35/36*C where on air I was at bout 65*C
In the end, I'm worried about condenstation on my tubing and block. And if that is a true ambient (air) reading, I will be getting condensation, but I'm yet to see it...
