Anybody know of any temperature programs that display the cpu/sys temps next to the clock, but looking like it belongs there?

speedfan might be the closest thing to what you are looking for. Just minimize it to the system tray.
 
MBM5 shows CPU and System temps in that location.

If you use MBM5, check to verify that MBM5 is using the correct sensors.

but MBM5 does not work with the newest mobos.......
 
Speedfan probably uses less resources than other tools if your into minimizing your running proccesses like me :D
