Temp on p4 2.6c

That's perfectly normal for that processor. Mine are around 37C at idle....about 42 on load.
 
My dad's 2.8 idles at about 40-42 C, so those temps for the 2.6 are fine. I don't think they are too hot, that is really good for stock equipment.
 
how how did you get your processor oc'ed? I cant get past friggen 250 @ 5:4 or 255 on 3:2 :(

How cold is it in your room? lol

26C is just like 79F and processors run quite a bit hotter then room temperature unless you have phase change cooling.

What are you getting that temp reading with?
 
I'm getting that from the ASUS util that comes with the board.

It's just the stock air cooling that comes with the P4

Now I've heard that ASUS boards read kind of low... but not like 10 degrees.

My room is perfect temp for me... and I normally like it to be warm... not cool, so I don't know. Luck of the draw I guess?
