I got an Athlon XP 2800+ OC at 12.5x180 (2250MHZ) My vCore is at 1.675v. My cpu temp idle is 49 C . The temp at full load while running prime stress test is 58 C. I'm using Arctic Silver 5. My case temp is 25-27 C.

I'm not sure why my cpu temp is so high. I have read a lot of posts on the net about the Vantec Aeroflow. Many people can OC there 2500+ to 3200+ speed using the Vantec Aeroflow and still have cpu temp idle at around 35-40 C. Max load usually around 45C. I just don't know what I'm doing wrong. I tried reinstall the Arctic Silver 5 about 3-4 times now. I'm pretty sure I'm not installing the HSF backward.

Any suggestions?

You can try lapping the heatsink. Its pretty easy to do and if you do it right it can be a big help, especially if the bottom of your heatsink isn't that smooth.

also check for dust
dust clogs ur HSF and it gives u higher temps, i cleaned mine out recently and i lowered by about 5-7C

yeah, do a GOOD cleaning on the HS AND Fan. You can take the fan apart and clean inside there too...it will help a bit with noise.

I lapped my Aeroflow and saw a 5c difference in temps with the same ol' generic white goo. I've got some ceramique here, but I'm waiting on my 3.0c to arrive to use it.
