lol :) Just spent $600 to fix my clutch. Can't help u :) I do have a nice HEC 350w PSU I could sell u though...

Well found the specs for their ATNG's standard ATX PSU's on the site:

Active PFC: 0.98@115VAC, 0.95@230VAC; Passive PFC:0.8@115VAC, 0.7@230VAC
With +5VSB:0~2.5A Max.
AC input 100~132VAC or 200~264VAC
115V/230V Auto sensing (optional)
Active or Passive PFC function (optional)
Frequency 47~63Hz
Premium EMI/RFI filtration system provides low noise/ripple for super clean and stable power to all system components
Over voltage/ Over load protection
Short circuit protection
Built-in long life Ball-bearing cooling FAN (optional)
Efficiency>65% at full load
Meet FCC part 15 Class B, CISPR 22 Class B
UL, CSA, TUV, CE certified
Meet Intel ATX 12V/ATX 2.03
Compatible with all lesding processors incluing pentiumIII,4 and AMD Athon XP

And just googling the horrible syntax on some of those specs produced some results :)

A match from a Coolmax 400Watt:

Active PFC: 0.95@230VAC; Passive PFC: 0.7@230VAC
With +5VSB: 0~2.5A Max.
AC input 100~132VAC or 200~264VAC
Frequency 47~63Hz
Efficiency >65% at full load
Meet FCC part 15 Class B, CIS PR 22 Class B
Designed refer to UL, CSA, TUV, CE regulations
Meet Intel ATX12V/ ATX 2.03
Dimension: 150x140x86 mm

Exact same specs, same typos; for instance "Meet FCC part 15 Class B, CISPR 22 Class B" instead of "meets". So chalk coolmax up for a rebranded ATNG. Of course not every company that rebrands ATNG PSU's will be stupid enough to copy the typos strait from ATNG's website :)

In my opinion buying a $25 power supply is just asking for problems. I'd wait as long as you can and save a bit until you can get something you know isn't going to explode and send shrapnel through you, your computer, and your cat. Will be worth it in the long run.

It would be akin to getting a heart transplant from someone who just died of a heart attack. Probably not worth the effort. ;)

ATNG's website can be found here.
Of course they don't say what companies they produce power supplies for.

http://www.atngpower.com.tw/p2-4.htm

Ripple & Noise
+3.3V @ 75mv.......ATX12V spec is 50mV
+5V @ 75mv..........ATX12Vspec is 50mV
+12V @ 150mv.......ATX12Vspec is 120mV

SMPS (Switch Mode Power Supplies) are notorious for AC Ripple
and the fact they arent even making ATX12V compliant supplies is a very bad sign

http://www.atngpower.com.tw/p2-5.htm
fanless PSU with a 65% efficiency
thats just sad

http://www.atngpower.com.tw/p2-7.htm
an EPS12V supply that also isnt spec, lacking the third "+12V3" rail
and having too high an AC Ripple

I duno but the thought of having a chart of who rebrands what manufacturers is one I find intensely interesting.

ATNG's AP-600F 550Watt :
3.3V:30A +5V:50A +12V:35A -5V:0.5A -12V:1A +5Vsb:2.5A
300W 420W 2.5W 12W 12.5W
Passive PFC: 0.7@230VAC;
Active PFC: 0.95 min
Efficiency>65% at full load
Frequency 47~63Hz
Meet Intel ATX12V/ATX 2.03
150 × 140 ×86 mm

Microfin 550W 140mm Fan 24pin power supply:
+3.3V: 30A +5V: 50A +12V: 35A -5V: 0.5A -12V: 1A +5VSB: 2.5A
Passive PFC: 0.7 @ 230VAC
Active PFC: 0.95 @ 230VAC
Efficiency: >75% at full load
Frequency 47~63Hz
AMD and Intel ATX12V/ATX 2.03
150 x 140 x 86mm

So the Microfin 550w has the same size and specs as the ATNG AP-600F. Does it mean it's the same supply? I can't really say. The efficiency is the only difference in the specs, being 10% higher on the Microfin. Also the plug on the Mircofin is oriented vertically, whereas the ATNG is sideways. I suppose it's all irrelevent but like i said i find it interesting :)

constantly being updated :p
Whos who in PSU

This is an effort to track down the manufacturers
that make the brands of PSUs you all know and love (or hate :p)
and several youve never heard of (Asian, European distribution ect)

If you have an additional information to contribute, or know of any factual errors, please PM me or post to the [H]ardcore PSU Info thread (even rumors are welcome)

Note: While several brands might share the same manufacturer, that doesnt mean the PSUs are the same, its quite common that there are major comonent differences between brands, of even built to spec for a brand distributor
