Teflon tapes...

I just lost my plexi reservoir... Maybe I screwed it all the way until I couldn't go further anymore, or maybe I used too thick of a teflon (should I be), I really don't know the reason why.

Is there anyway to get thread back on a plexi reservoir, it's aqua computer plex reservoir.

I really can't screw anything to it anymore... help :'(

Radiator earlier now this, there goes 110 euros...

You could retap the hole for a larger size, which would require a new fitting.

Or you could just epoxy the bastard in.

Is epoxy safe with all this "mix-metal" issue and will it put plexi glass and metal together with no future possible problem that it may turn loosy and end up leaking ?

If I use epoxy do I still have to use teflon tape on the screw linings ?

The part that lost the screw thread is 1 of the exit line and 1 is the inlet line, which has a very small inlet passage inside the reservoir.

Still okey ?

Epoxying should do the trick...

Plastic epoxy is necessary (the barb is plastic right?)... Just mix it up, put a little on the threads, press in, then put lots where the endge of the barb meets the face of the res...


Let it sit overnight to cure... etc.

Which one would be the "edge of the barb" or what is the "barb" ?

I have an aquabox plexi glass reservoir and the connectors are the steal types kinda that screw close for the hose.

Will epoxy also help sealing the radiator if in case that dent on it has a leak ?
