Exept for some drilling and turning 2 hose fittings, the milling work is finished!:

Crappy photos... better than none :)

The Above image is supposed to show the lapped WB and unlapped (as yet) HS.

This is supposed to be a close-up of the block.

No flash. The TEC will go where the bit of cloth is sticking out.

What is is, is an Ice Cap sandwhiched between a waterblock and old P4 heatsink.

The reason I chose Alu is that the Koolance Rad is Alu. Its also easier to machine.
It does not tarnish either.

Everyone says that the circular pattern left by the milling machine looks cool, and to only sand/polish the bases.

The idea is to cool my water a little more after its been through the radiator in my Koolance Box.

Some surfing suggests that the difference it will make is minnimal but its going to look cool! And I reversed over my Cooler box! :) (The one you plug into the lighter socket).

Some warm Beer inspired the idea. :)

I've had another idea for it as well... ;)

People are right when they say the difference it will make is going to be negligible, however, it is still damn cool and this seems to be more one of those "im gonna do it just to see if I can" or "because its cool" type of things. In any respect it looks like a very nice job, and I am sure you will love it.

okay.....what wattage is the pelt?

and an 80 W pelt plus a volcano 7 heatsink makes a decent beverage chiller.

Oh, my retention clip for my stock heatsink broke rescently, so I was thinking maybe I should make it into a low profile heatsink..

Hmm...2 of those, some milling, and you got a vid card sandwich! :D

Could even put the origanal fans back!

The pelt seems to draw about 4 Amps. Tested with a tong tester.
That works out to 48 Watts.

The setup is running out of the loop as we speek, so I'll have the obligatory Frost Photo soon. :)

i just used a small aluminium pot partially filled with saltwater, on the cold end. just put the bottle in there and let it chill.

i'd imagine that something as hardcore as - 20 would freeze the beverage pretty quickly. it's also a lot easier to power the 80 watt pelt.

Hehe....let me help you with that :
:D

Actually I was thinking of making a seperate loop to activly cool my RAM!

RAM is about 12 W per stick at std voltage so 25-30W @ 2.85V ??

Dont know that my TEC will even handle that. :(
