Just how reliable are TECs? I thought this product looked really cool until I heard about reliability issues with TECs, then I kinda got turned off. Would I be better off with an Innovatek XXD (Somehow ghetto-modded onto a Shuttle) or is this kit worth it:

read the review on the page you linked........it only gets 45C load: almost 10C worse than good watercooling can give you.

that thing is a piece of shit from start to finish. it is powered using the computer PSU and so can never even come close to getting the CPU to ambient.

the reliability issue is not for the pelt, but for the condensation proofing. pelts can keep going strong for years.
