So i just upgraded my monitor (from 1440x900 to 1920x1080)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236051R

and now i'm getting terrible tearing when i play Mirror's Edge (which i love) i'm playing with everything turned up to highest settings with v-sync on (i've tried both v-sync on and off). I can't figure out why i'm getting such bad tearing. :( is my 260 not able to keep up or is it the monitor or my cpu? I don't really have any other game installed on my drive right now but when i play my ps3 on the same monitor absolutely no tearing. Whats wrong?

Well I'm not on Windows right now, so I can't really look to see the EXACT names of where you're supposed to go... but basically, you need to FORCE V-SYNC to be enabled. You can do this by going to the NVIDIA control panel and it's somewhere under 3D quality settings or something. The options will be something like "Force ON, Force OFF, Application Controlled." Just make sure you force it to ON.

Also, make sure your monitor is properly detected. You should see your monitor's actual make/model in the device manager, as opposed to "Plug And Play Monitor" or something to that effect.

Hope this helps!

Awesome! It worked like a charm! Thank you so much! It was such a simple fix to!
