They are pulling 1,225,643 per day compared to our 1,337,630.

Still a gap, but if you have any toasters that you can install linux and get FAH working we need to keep that gap so there is no question that we will be the #1 team!


 
Watch me prepare a farm of toasters by the end of april to distance ourselves from them :)

As relic and Axdrenalin stated, competition is very good for all teams concerned, but especially for Stanford. We should all hope for more of it and return to the days when this team earned great [H]onor on the fields of.glory.

In any case, there could actually be some real competition ahead. Woods from OC.com may finally have a resolution for his networking issues and another big producer, Flexy has many more machines untapped if this works. If it doesn't work, perhaps someone here with [H]ard networking knowledge can lend a hand?

What kind of ppd do you expect to get out of your farm with that included?

If I do not get p2619 then I'm looking at around 330 PpDpGhz.
62 x 330 = ~20k PpD.
Once I get the other five boxen rebuild, I hope to have ~140 Ghz online.
140 x 330 = ~46k PpD.
I'll still have a WRat on my tail but he wont be catching up so fast.

If I get p2619 then cut the numbers in half .......... :mad:

I've swopped out my E6600's for Q6600's.
Its the 100% stability thats been hard to find.
Was hopeing for 400x8 for 3.2 Ghz with a 3:2 memory multi but not 100% stable unless I upped the vcore over 0.125v.
But that raised the temps to much.
At that speed they where failing dual Orthos in the 6-18 hour range.

Dropped them down to 345x9 for 3.1 Ghz with a 5:4 memory multi. Running 100% stable so far at +0.1v vcore.
That overclocks the Memory a little but they are all Memtest86+ error free.
Now they are all at 18 hours dual Orthos Gromac's stress test without an error.
If they areerror free in the morning then its install the VM's and start folding.

Strange at is may seem neither Orthos or Prime are much good for stress testing these days.

This box will run forever over 3.6 on any stress test but it won’t fold until I drop to 3.4.

It seems Stanford has outdone themselves on these later SMP clients especially if you are running two side by side.

As for heat, after testing way too many coolers I would have to say that Thermalright is about the only company that can handle the higher volted CPUs as long as they are in a well ventilated case.

What temps are you seeing with that multiplier / memory divider combination Tiger?

Core Temps of between 50-60c over 20 cores.
The max Core Temp I'm happy with is 60c, because I need the headroom for when its get warm in the summer.
I've only got the Thermalright MST-9775 heatsinks, so with a TRUE I would get better temps.
The one mobo I'm testing ATM outside its box has one core temp showing 64c, but that will cool down once it goes in the case and gets better airflow over the heatsink.

Yeah I have a few boxes like that... Stable 24/7 stress test to hell and back and no errors... I put on F@H x2 and within 8hrs the system reboots... so finding that balance between max OC and Max Stability is a fine line!

Those temps seem fine I would not worry too much. I assume your mobo has a Warning and Safety settings. I set mine to 70c warning 80c shutdown. So far no boxes have thrown warnings.
