I am used to my old X800XT with the regular control panel, never liked the command center. Now the X1900XTX only has the command center.
What do I need to set, how do I overclock and why does the ccc report the thing running at 500 MHz? I assume it speeds up in 3D mode.
So...I was thinking is there a tool I can use instead of the command center, like rad tabs. Do rad tabs work with X1900XTX drivers?
Also, a question, on 3DMark06, I have an Opteron 175 dual core CPU, I ran the bench before installing the new card and the scores, well, sucked...but the CPU score was 1632. Then I installed the X1900XTX, ran 3DMark06 again, CPU score is now 1568 (opver all score is much higher though)
Why would my CPU score go down because of changing video cards? Is the video card sucking the life out of the CPU? Is it possibly the nvidia drivers making better use of dual core CPU's than the ATi driver?
Thoughts?
