Hey guys. It's been a long time since I posted. But, the time has come to build a new rig. I'll be going with the new E6600 or E6700 cpu. Just wondering if the retaining mechanism is the same for my old socket 478 as it is for the new 775's? It would be nice if I didn't have to fork out another $50 for a new wb.
 
the mounting is different on the tdx for the 775 than the 478,but you can buy a new plexi top from danger den w/the mounting screws for like $15, lot better than buying a new block
 
there are much better blocks out there now than the maze4 so just sell that on e-bay and skip the top replacment
