Hey everyone... I just got done installing Vista a few days ago. I really like it and am getting used to the new interface, but I have a problem. My cable connection is slow through it.

Previously, I was running WinXP and used cablenut to enhance my TCP/IP settings. I also used the same settings on my Win2k3 server with the same results.

I used to have a 6mb connection, but now they've bumped it up to about 12mb/s. On the Win2k3 box, I get 12-13mb/s down, but only 4-5mb/s down on the Vista box. Some tweaks are definitely called for.

I tried Cablenut on the Vista box. It installed fine, but wouldn't pull any current registry values...

Any advice?

Honestly it could be related to the drivers for your NIC. Maybe look for updated ones from the manufacturer's website.....also didn't the TCP/IP stack get changed completely for Vista? All of the previous tweaking that was done in XP wouldn't apply if that is true.
