Task PSU any good?

24A +12V
unknown rebrander, unknown PSU make (hense unkown derating curve)
unspecified config its supposed to run

I have no idea based on the info supplied

hit the How to by a PSU sticky thread to start to determine your needs ;)

So no one tried task PSU here. I know task for a couple of months but never tried one. I think this is better than HEC 475watts because hec only has 18A.

Uh what is no Alex.

Well what is the price point? What EXACTLY will it be powering? What features do you want?

Currently I have ahtlon xp @ 2.3ghz, 6600gt, 2 HD, cdrw, 9 Fans, and 2 dual CCFL. But Im also going to upgrade to A64 amonth or 2. With this current setup I dont have any problems with my 350watts PSU.

It doesn't look like a horrible power supply.. but something did jump out at me:

"Efficiency > 65%"

If a power supply is typically, say 75%, the manufacturer puts "> 70%"as the efficiency.

If these guys can only put "> 65%" then it probably is barely 70%, which considering how many power supplies out there have at least a 70% efficiency... that's scary.

It's not like the power bill is going to be scary, but the idea that the components are so cheap that they're only 65% efficient, what's it going to take to blow on up? ;)

If you get one, get the UL number off of it for us. I tried to find better pictures on the web, but it seems that everyone that sells this PSU uses that same image of the unit that Task has.
