Task Manager Diabled?

Yea the subject pretty much says it all. When i press Ctrl Alt Del i get a message saying "The Task Manager has been diabled by an Administrator" I am the only user on this computer. This started about a month ago.

You may have an infection that is trying to protect it's self. Do you get any random popups?

Then you've been infected by spyware/adware for about a month and it set local policy on your system to disable task manager, or you have a friend who spent about 30 seconds doing the same thing by hand.

How can i edit group policy on a xp home machine

Instead of worrying about that, you need to start running some spyware scanners / AV scanners.

I agree, download the trial version of nod32, adaware, spybot, hijack this and run them all.
