I dont think I want to go with MSI now. I was set on this board, untill two new reviews came in saying the Computer only sees the processor as AM2+.

Thats a bunch of crap. I dont know whats with MSI on that one, so I think I would rather try ASUS or Gigabyte.
Asus, Gigabyte, and MSI all make good boards. I would suggest going with one of those brands.
What are you looking for in your motherboard? Obviously, an AM3 DDR3 motherboard. But what else? Do you need SLI or Crossfire? USB3.0? SATA6? For none of these, the 785G or 770 chipset should work fine for you. For SLI, there's really only two choices, the MSI NF750 and NF980. The NF750 has dual SLI, while the NF980 has tri-SLI. For Crossfire, there's the 790X series, which include 790X, 790GX, and 790FX. The 790X and 790GX have dual Crossfire, while the 790FX have quad Crossfire. The 890GX is the same as the 790GX, except it has SATA6 and USB3.0. The 890FX is the same as the 790FX with SATA6 and USB3.0. For just SATA6 and USB3.0, you can probably go with the 870 or 880G chipset. The G denotion indicates onboard graphics if that matters to you.
