Here is a post where you can bet on which game will win game of the year.
Your options are....
Half Life 2.
Halo 2.
Rome Total War.
Doom 3.
Pacman.

Betting increments are min $25. I will be drawing pool odds as soon as a marginal number of bets are placed.

I would like to open the betting by puttin 500 dollars on Rome Total War.
 
I'm gonna wager that it will be neck and neck between Halo 2 and Half-Life 2. Ultimately, I will bet that Half-Life 2 wins out.

I'll call your 500 and raise you another 500.
 
Is he seriously trying to take REAL bets? If not then I feel like an idiot.

I thought so too... but if it were combined, they usually lean toward the consoles. So I would go with Halo2

But seriously for GOTY, I don't really have one, they've all been fun.
 
I think I might drop Eleventy Billion on Pac-Man.


Seriously though, whether it deserves it or not, I bet HL2 will take it just because it probably has a bigger fanbase than any of the others. Despite popular belief, things like this really just turn out to be a popularity contest.
 
though i would want another title to win, it wouldn't surprise me at all to see the sims 2 take the cake :p
 
if there is enough interest in this i could email tradesports.com and see if they'll set up a contract for GOTY

i'm thinking halo2. it has graphics, the multiplayer is good on consoles, and even better, you don't need to upgrade hardware which'll make it easy for everyone to play. with xbox live out there'll be plenty of online multi as well.
