Well I just wanted to let people know that im not quitting or any nonsense like that...I just simply cannot run my farm right now.
I have just finished College and am in between houses for now...living at parents to save money....they told me I can only bring my laptop home.
So hopefully i will have enough soon to move into my own place by the end of the summer, and can crank by farm back up.

Ill still be around the forums, and try to help as much as I can, but I just wanted to let people know I'm not going anywhere.

Life Changes happen to all of us.

It will all work out and you will be Folding again in no time!

Right, good excuse for turning the farm off during the summer months. ;) Just kidding, good luck with your housing situation, hope to have you folding with us as soon!

I know exactly how you're feeling right now. I've halted folding for the summer due to increasing costs and the fact that I move around between 3 different areas. It's just too much to manage.

But no worries, all is well and we'll be back to folding in no time. :)

Speaking of too much to manage, wouldn't it be cool if Stanford could find a way to make all the software run with basically zero administration overhead? Think of how many more would still be folding or might be inclined to start. I know this is almost impossible because we all push the limits but it can be done and the PS3 is a good example.

Well for one thing: Congrats on finishing college!!!!

Life changes on a daily basis. You either roll with the punches or .... :D

Good luck on your endeavors and we hope to see you back when the you're settled.

Don't worry, we'll hold down the farm until you can get back. Take care and don't be a stranger!

And congrats on finishing college.

congrats on the college thing .. and hope we see some WU's coming from yuh again before too long

Super Congrats on finishing college nitrobass24 :D I think everybody capable (intelligence wise, not money wise) of going to college should be able :)

Thanks for the DCing you've done and don't sweat having to slow down or completely stop DCing for a while. :(

It sounds to me like you have a legitimate "real lifre" (RL) situation. From the many posts I have read over the years many DCers and DCers of the kind I like to call "old timers". Peeps that have been DCing for many years, sometime decades, have alway said "real life" (RL) and family ALWAYS come first. I understand, and I believe everyone in the distributed computing world understands, if you have a situation in you life, whether it be money, significant other problems, sickness yourself or others you're close to, housing (moving, etc), living situations changing, hard pressed to pay gimongous light bills or any other "real life" situations, you'd be hard pressed to try and help anybody else (thru DCing) You know the old sayin's "take care of business and mind your own business" or "you gots to be OK wth yourself to help others"

Good luck with your housing situation and come back to DCing only when you feel comfortable

DCing for the CURE
