I've got a 12Cap 3.0C D1 running on a Abit IC7-G board. The CPU is rock solid at 3.75Ghz (250 FSB) 1.7V (45C Idle, 60C load), Ram at 200mhz, the MCH latched at 800Mhz FSB (5:4), GAP at A,N,A,D,D, and ram at 3,8,3,3 (its CAS 3 Kingston DDR, so its shit ram).

Any tips on taking it to the next level? 3,810Ghz seems to be the next logical step but I cant seem to get it stable....

whats your cooling like?

becuase you dont wanna get any higher than what you are at, even if you find the temperatures acceptable.

unless your gonna get a water set up id stop where you are now that is a sweet OC ;) mine will not be as good :( presently it needed its first voltage bump at 221fsb :(

Better HSF. Or just get some better ram and you'll get a nice boost if you can run 1:1

I bought some OCZ premere for $45 a stick off newegg last week. stock settings are 2.5-3-3,. but the cheap ram will run 260fsb 1:1 @ spd.

I've still got my original 1.6a running 2 years @ 1.85v @ 2.8ghz. dont be scared of volts. And temps in the 60's as long as it's stable.

But remember if you cant afford to kill the chip, dont push it. It costs $$ to have fun, how much fun do you want to have!!!

I'm running both the case fans off the 5V lines rather then 12v, and have my blower that is right below the CPU turned off, so if need be i can keep the system at 50C load no problem, but noise is a bigger issue then proceesor life at this point.

I'll look into pulling down some new ram, i was just seeing if there were any more cute bios tweaks that could get me higher, although it seems to be the RAM that is holding the system back... it will boot at 4.0Ghz but windows errors out with a memmory read error...

Only way to get it at 3.75 was to latch the MCH down to FSB800.
