Takeaways from an Action-Packed SIGGRAPH 2018

Techgage has a recap of this year’s SIGGRAPH conference, which concluded today. One of the key highlights was NVIDIA’s Quadro RTX line, whose Tensor cores impressed with demonstrations ranging from video upscaling with deep-learning and neural networks to predicting weather via massive datasets.

SIGGRAPH’s 2018 conference in Vancouver, BC, proved to be an action-packed one. Both AMD and NVIDIA had new GPU wares to show off, and Intel threatened about what’s to come in 2020. We also saw the release of new renderers, advanced compute technologies, and found a whole lot of inspiration.
