Take Two CEO Stepping Down

This sure seems like the month to be “stepping down” from high ranking positions, doesn’t it? The latest to voluntarily hit the unemployment line is Take Two’s CEO. The official story is that he is quitting (instead of taking a vacation?) to travel in Asia with his family. Ummm, okay.

Ben Feder, CEO of Take Two Interactive since 2007, will be stepping down from his post at the end of the year, the publisher of Grand Theft Auto, Red Dead Redemption, BioShock and Carnival Games revealed this morning.

The official story is that he is quitting (instead of taking a vacation?) to travel in Asia with his family. Ummm, okay.

Given the money CEO's make they can afford to quit a job and take an indefinate vaction. It's probable that the job wouldnt have allowed him enough time for an extended trip so stepping down was his only option.

I dunno. Their stepping down might have more to do with someone's bust than you might think.

Most people could retire and live comfortable after only one year of a major CEO's salary, so I dont see the need to stir up the drama/speculation pot.
