I have an Onkyo HTiaB 5.1 setup I'd like to repurpose for PC duty. The issue is the front, surrounds and center channel are all designed to be wall or stand mounted. It's easy to find tall speaker stands, but I'm having difficulty finding ones that will be adequate for desktop use.

Here's an example of the fronts and surrounds:

I've found the following, but would like to see if there's a cheaper alternative.

I'd also prefer to not have to modify a taller stand. Any suggestions?

Whats the actual desk setup look like atm and does the center channel look just like the fronts?

if you get these and a generic metal bracket from home depot it should work fine. its meant for the small cube speakers, yours are taller, so just use the bracket to extent the back support.

these are 2x the price, but they'd work.

and depending on how handy you are, you could easily make one from aluminum from home depot. bend a piece of aluminum into an L shape, and add horizontal supports for feet. aluminum bends, cuts, and is drilled through easily. and you can make it to size so they speakers sit ear level.

I think I may just rig up some slotted L-brackets with a couple rubber feet. Won't be the prettiest, but it should fit the budget.
