T2300 or T2600

I have the budget to choose the Core Duo 2.16ghz proc over the 2.0ghz one. Is there a recognizable difference between the two processors? The difference in cost is about $175. I will be using the notebook for about 4 years. Thanks in advance.
 
the T2300 is 1.66ghz not 2ghz. T2500 is the 2ghz Core Duo.

I'd go with the T2600 (2.16) if the other choice is actually a T2300 (1.66). If it's a T2500 (2.0) vs a T2600 then I'd go with the T2500.
 
I went with the T2300E, which is a low-voltage variant of the T2300. Dell has completely removed the T2300, and the price to upgrade was substantial, $80 for the T2400, $160 for a T2500, and several hundred for a T2600.

Needless to say, I went for the LV one.
