t23 notebook help!

alright so I kinda shot myself in the foot with this butttt oh well. I recently disassembled my t23 ibm notebook so i could spray paint the chasis without the hassle of masking off parts. Ive been working on reassembling for a little bit now and ive run into only a few problems, but ive been able to work past them all. But now im stuck. Im working on getting the lcd display all assembled but my problem is that the ribbons running up the back have nowhere to go! the ribbon splits off early on to the inverter, then after that it splits to the right to plug into the back of the lcd, and that though the top splits into two different parts, one small end with a little white/cream square on one side, and then a wide one with a hole in the middle. anyone know how to get this thing back together! also if anyone knows a site that has a good manual on assembeling/disassembeling t23s or any of the t20 series thatd be excellent. found an official ibm pdf on it but its rubbish
