if you install a tv tuner, can you view tv programs in full screen with no black bars or media player crap?
 
What if you want the black bars? I am considering the nextvision n5 and want to know if on my widescreen monitor if I can actually get a 1:1 image rather than a stretched one
 
Hi Michigan!

I have WinFast 2000 xp Expert.

The software which comes with the card supports scaling:
Force Ratio 4:3
Force Ratio 16:9

If you untick the one thats selected, it will scale to the entire screen
Tho the software doesn't support PAL60hz, which is unfortunate for me since I live in a PAL zone.

DScaler is another option. ( http://deinterlace.sourceforge.net/ )
This downloadable tv card application is full of options to play with.

This also allows 16:9(letterboxed or anamorphic), 4:3 or take up full screen.
It also doesn't have wierd white bars at the top of the screen like I get with the PVR software.
