Been using a Lepai 2020a+ for a while driving some BIC bookshelf speakers and it's been pretty good. Liking the sound and power, was wondering if there's any other more powerful t-amps worth looking into that might boost my sound any, possibly something with a SUB connection.

hi...

T-amps are something i have some interest in.

I have a slightly more powerful than your lepai SMSL SA-S3 (TA2021B)

(seen here)

it is nice and good sounding indeed.

so.. here is one thing about the lepai's they generally ship with a crappy 2.5A wallwart Powersupply (which is just crap... sorry but it is) so the first thing you might want to do is replace it with a 5~A or some powerbrick ... reports indicate that making this change improves the performance of the lepai

maybe something like this

$10~

otherwise I have no problem recommending my SMSL SA-S3 (mine was $40* $55~ shipped from ebay.. came w/ a nice Liteon 4A powersupply which is sufficent.. I ordered a 6A replacement for a $15~ bucks and honestly it was a total waste of time but live and learn... however replacing the 2.5A wallwart from the lepai's in OTOH a worthwhile effort)

Some other good t-amps topping TP-20MKII

many like the Dayton DTA-100A

There is also this I have heard good reports on but haven't listened to myself.

SMSL SA-50 (TDA7492)

or SMSL SA-98 (which is claiming 65WPC @ 8OHMS)
