So I turn my computer off to go out to the city and come back a few hours later and get comfy and then I go to press the power button and nothing happens. The LED light on my Abit NF7-S 2.0 is on which means power is ready. But nothing is happening. So I try to reset by pressing the power button for 30 seconds. 5 seconds I smell like an awful burning rubberish smell. On the backplate its set to 110 volts which is USA power right?
I go to see what the matter is on the inside, everything is very secure, all plugs connected no huge scorch marks that look like the Devil. I try it again, again very smelly. I sniff around the insides and its the area around my PSU which by the way is a Raidmax 500Watt something something. I'm pretty certain that my PSU is the culprit and I don't have another lying around so what would you recomend?

I would like a modular with 120mm fan around 500 watts nothing crazy like 600 watts. I like the Tagan easycon but do they sell that in the US of A?

Your suggestions are appreciated.

ok good thanks, also anythin with a little bling factor? like UV reactive sleeved cables.

should i get active PFC ?

And ignore the "search here pls" link above. It's not as simple as "spend X dollars get X quality" or there'd be no PSU forum
