My system will not power up immediately after a shut down without switching off PSU or Clearing CMOS at times.

The System shuts down properly. When I press power button the fans start to energize, CPU fan and all others. The system stalls and goes no further. No post or anything the system stops.

Has anyone heard of a problem with the ABIT board and PSU I am using?

It sounds similar to the problems ASUS boards were having.

After I do the above the system fires up and seems to operate normal. Although it displays a GURU code of 17 or sometimes 7A.

I have read the codes at the Abit site and what they recommend is what I do above.
