So I've noticed some weird things happening on my computer lately. I'm not sure if it's because of my cpu which has been overclocked for a while or my 1tb WD Black which has about 60gb left on it. I guess i'll put them in a list.

1. Every time I restart my computer I have to unplug ALL of my attachments i.e. the wireless adapter, 360 controller adapter, any usb drives, headphone jack, etc. or else nothing comes up on the screen.

2. All of my desktop icons go blank. Like the generic blank paper looking thingy lol.

3, When I try to overclock the system it doesn't show up on CPU-Z nor does it overclock. Like it'll say it's overclocked in BIOS but when I try to do Intel Burn Test it'll just show up as 3400ghz and the voltage doesn't move either. Now this cpu has been at 4.8ghz before for a while now with no issues (i'd say about 6-8 months) so i'm not sure if that's the cause? I'm baffled.

4. I can't get into "My Computer". When I click on My Computer there's nothing but a blank screen. I just watch the green bar at the top slowly fill up as if it's loading and then still nothing. If I try to right click on anything, that pretty blue circle just keeps spinnin and spinnin until I remove it from task manager.

Could be a number of things but I'd suggest:

1. Reverting your CPU back to stock and see if that changes/fixes anything. Also monitor your CPU core temps, make sure nothing is out of the ordinary.
2. Download CrystalDiskInfo and check the status of your HDD. Could be that it's on the verge of failing.
3. Run Memtest86+ to check for any memory errors.
4. Run a spyare/adware scanner. Might be something in your system's registry.
5. If all else fails, maybe reinstall Windows.

Yeah i've already reverted the CPU back to stock. Nothing changed. Memtest86 came out fine. As far as Crystaldiskmark is there another alternative you suggest? The last time it automatically downloaded all kinds of toolbars and other crap i didn't want that i had a hard time getting off my computer.
