System reboots on memtest86

I've run memtest 86 on several machines as a diagnostic tool.

I'm running it on a Dell Optiplex GX1 w/ a PII 400 and 128MB of PC-100. The owner complains that the system will reboot when starting Internet explorer (runs WinXP).

I made a bootable memtest86 v. 3.1 and the test runs with no errors until it gets to around 82% done with the tests, when the system will reboot.

I never had that happen during memtest before, I would at least see some error codes. Does this mean the memory is bad?

Well, I just re-ran it for the 4th time and it completed this time with no errors and no re-boots. Not sure what it is.

Thanks OldMX

Damn Dell PSU.....how do I test these since they are wired differently?

Try google. There are some sites that show how to mod Dell PSU to work with a standard ATX plug.

Any suggestions?

MBM doesn't work on this board and there is no voltage option in the bios.
