Hi all

I have a standard ATX case with a front intake fan and rear exhaust fan. My rig reboots intermittently and I wonder if it has to do with my cooling setup?

Here are my stats:
MSI 648 Max L using latest drivers
P4 2.4
512 PC2700
Radeon 9600 Pro using Omega 2.5.22 drivers
AC97 sound
Win XP Pro SP1

I am not o/cing my rig and I find that my rig reboots mostly when playing games, seeming more when playing UT2003/2004.

It also somes reboots when surfing the net. I am using the MSI utility PC Alert and my CPU temp hovers aroun 33C and my system temp is around 28C

So, any ideas would be welcome.

I would check your voltage lines, if your voltage drops from a certain range it can cause instability, this is present when you are playing games and stressing your system...

What is the wattage of your psu...also make sure you check the lines. One more thing, if the air flow rate near your psu is poor then it will degrade the actual output of the psu as its temperature raises.
 
I have a 350Watt power supply. I am thinking that maybe the exhaust fan I have is not fast enough? meaning it isn't blowing out enough hot air to keep the rig cool.

Maybe I need another exhaust fan? I currently have a p/s exhaust fan and a case exhaust fan.

Another fan won't help much (your temps are fine), this sounds like Cheap-PSU-Syndrome...
