System Properties not displaying right CPU speed

After I overclocked a Pentium 4, my desktop displays crazy CPU speed values from 100Mhz to 2.6Ghz (changing everytime I reboot).

However, CPU-Z displays the correct CPU speed. Is there a way to fix this? I attached a screenshot.

My guess is that Windows is reading the clock speed information from the chip (like data stored on it) rather than actually determining what it is running at. Note how CPU-Z has the rated speed in the "Specification" field.
