So I ran a few 3DMark05 tests on my rig and I get from 4824 to 4910 3DMark score..

Is this a "good" or at least fairly "normal" score for a not overclocked system? I cant get their forum to let me post for some reason so I figure I'd ask here instead..

I havent noticed any "lag" in my games so I think its at least functioning properly, just not sure if its performing as well as it could..

AMD64 3000+
1Gig RAM
BFG 6800GT OC
K8N Neo Platinum mobo
Windows XP SP2
 
Why don't you go to the Online Result Browser on Futuremark's website? There you can compare your score against similarly configured machines.

I think thought that your score is a little low. With a single 6800GT on my Pentium 4 rig, I was getting about 5500 or so. But my Pentium 4 was clocked at 3.9GHz so that probably was why it was so much higher than your score, although 3D Mark generally doesn't care that much about the CPU itself.

I tried their online stuff but it doesnt seem to like me for some reason heh. It could be the computer (at work) that I am on right now. May have to wait until I get home to check again.

Futuremark will only let you post your score if you use the 71.89 drivers or later.

IMO your score is on the low side, but not out of normal. Might get better with newer drivers. :)

I have the latest 71.89 driver. Its probably something to do with an "old" PC I still have listed on their site. When I try to post a new score it always reverts to that one. I dont really care about posting the score though. Just trying to be sure mine is performing right because I have been having crashes with my new video card.
 
Yes that sounds likely.

If you want you could try the Forceware 76.50 driver at www.guru3d.com
They gave my card a healthy boost and so far they have been very stable. :)
 
On 3d mark 05 i have a score 5020 when everything is at stock speeds and 6287 when i push my athlon64 3000+ by 1.8 to 2.44 and my 6800gt by 400/1000 to439/1249.Apperantly your scores are very good

that is very normal... i had about those scores utill I overclocked my GT to hell. Then i got about 5600. the average score if you look at the 3dmark05 thread is a little above 5000 for the GT.
