System Hangs at Detecting Array

I just got two Seagate 7200.10 320GB SATA drives so I can set up a RAID 1 array. I installed the drives and put them on SATA channels 2 and 3 (my boot disk is on 1). I went into the BIOS and enabled NVRAID on those two drives. When I go to boot up the system hangs and says,

"NVIDIA RAID IDE ROM BIOS 4.84

Detecting Array..."

I have to unplug the drives and disable NVRAID to be able to boot into XP. I've been scouring the net for anything related to my issue and all I've found is that apparently the RAID BIOS 4.84 might be bad but I have no way of fixing that. I've flashed to the newest BIOS and updated to the newest nforce drivers. Anyone know what's going on here?

System Specs:
ASUS A8N-E nForce 4 mobo
AMD Athlon 64 4000+
2GB of Corsair XMS2 (2x1GB)
Seagate 7200.10 160GB (XP disk)
2x Seagate 7200.10 320GB (attempting to set to RAID 1)
GeForce 6800 Video card
 
There should be a setting in the bios for drive type or something, IDE/Sata, it won't recognize sata drives if you have it set to IDE.

Just a thought, i'm no expert.
