I just recently installed a new processor (athlon xp 2400+) in my epox 8kha+ I have the latest bios installed and everything went fine. After about an hour of running windows I got a blue screen with white text (in upper left hand corner) sayin the System Halted because of a Hardware error, contact system administrator or something....

ive never seen this error before, anyone know why this is appearing? CPU temps seem to be normal (35c) and I am not overclocking either.

I ran into this problem before. It happened to me because of RAM problems (voltage didn't meet the demands of the SPD timings). If the RAM causes errors when something happens (like say, a Windows system file is written to it), it can cause this message.

Try running memtest86 and see if you get memory errors.
