system disaster?

Well i recently purchased a amd 64 and msi k8n neo s754 mobo, so last night i decided to move my stuff over, half way through i realized damnit i had a school project a needed on the old computer, so i plugged back in the psu and such and when i turned it on a blue light on my mobo lit up and a high pitched squeal of some sort sounded.

Then i to complete my new build in hopes of maybe salvaging it, i connected all jumpers like in the manual and plugged in everything and when i push the power button i get nothing not even like a red light saying the mobo has power?

Wtf?
 
you remember to plug in the video card?
on topic of new mobo... maybe it doesnt have leds, and if somthing isnt hooked up right on my ic7 it doesnt even power on..
 
Blue light/squeal sounds like it *could* be normal. Look at the manual to see what the blue light means. The squeal could be capacitors in the PSU, they can be pretty audible.

Is there a power switch on the PSU? Try shorting the green wire on the 20 pin connector to a black one and see if it powers up. The power supply could just be dead. If so, get a fortron or a sparkle.
