hey yall. got my new rig all set up and running a week ago with no problem..then out of nowhere yesterday, after pooping in Doom 3 (Felt like playing it) my system would completely freeze and i would have to restart. Ran Prime95 after the restart and 5 mins later my system would freeze again. I currently have a THermalright Ultra 120 Extreme so i doubt my cpu is overheating although i have remounted my heatsink a few time in the past week (3). Idle temps seem to be around mid to high 30's with lowest core temp @ 27ish celsius. Ran memtest and 5 minutes later system crashed again but i ran memtest again testing each mem stick and it didn't crash....weird.
anyone got any ideas?

EDIT: OS is WinXP and when i first got system setup. I had no problems whatsoever. This just started happening yesterday

just found out what the culprit was...when running prime95 again, i began touching every single thing in my computer and found out that the northbridge chip was extremely hot. I decided to modify the crazy cooling that previously cooled the chipset and re-attach it (had to remove it due to TRUE 120) and now everything seems fine. Maybe this info will help you guys out there
