Switching to SFF...need advice!

I am very excited to be building a new computer this holiday season for gaming! I have decided I am switching over to SFF due to it being easier to carry around to LAN's as well as packing up and taking with me back home during breaks and summer (college student).

First, I need some general opinions, do you think a C2D is worth the extra money for gaming (ill be playing CoD4 competitively, along with other new games), or can you scratch by just fine with a x2 6000+?

Secondly, I looked at the recommended mATX mobo thread, is there any new releases on both the AMD and Intel side that are enticing? I am looking to spend about $275 on the CPU/Mobo combo. My eyes have been set on a E6750 or a AM2 6000+, I'm not really sure what to do here.

Lastly, we all know the most important part of a SFF system is the case, I have narrowed it down to a few choices, tell me what you think:

Ultra Black MicroFly
Thermaltake Lanbox LITE
NZXT Rogue

Does the Rogue's price justify itself? I currently have 4gb of ram bought and a 550watt enermax psu, hd, and combo drive ready to go, just need a case, cpu/mobo, gfx card!
 
Rogue is better than all, only a little more than the sugo3 and the next one would be the lanbox lite.
 
Comparing both CPU's at stock speeds, the E6750 is the better choice. And if you wait until january 2008, I would go with the E8400 then.
 
Wether you go stock or overclocking, the E6750 is the better performer than the 6000+. If you are not overclocking you dont have to go with the more bigger and expensive SFF boxes unless you simply want the extra room.
