Switching SATA ports

Okay, I have 2 WD800JB 80gig SATA drives in a RAID 0 hooked up to SATA ports 1 and 2 on my motherboard. I recently found out that you cannot overclock if you have harddrives connected to SATA ports 1 and 2 on my motherboard. This is true, I am overclocked to 2.35GHz right now where I could get to 2.55GHz before going SATA. If I have harddrives hooked up to SATA ports 3 and 4 I can overclock without a problem.

My question is, can I simply plug my harddrives into SATA ports 3 and 4 without worring about my RAID and my data? I don't want to switch SATA ports and find out that all my data is corrupt. I dont mind remaking the RAID as long as my data is still there one I am done setting up the RAID.

Anybody know if I can swtich SATA ports safely?
 
Worst case is that the RAID controller gives you an error, you shutdown, move them back to ports 1 and 2, and nothing happens.
