Hi guys
I want to upgrade my current harddrive, (i have 3 harddrives- Main C Drive = 28.6 Gig; F = 152 Gig; G = 74.5 Gig).
I just purchased a Diamond Maxtor HDD MAXTOR|16M SATA 7200 7L300S0 300 Gig and no longer have the desire to deal with the heat issues and messy wiring of 3 harddrives and 2 optical drives but I really DO NOT want to do a fresh install of everything...
So my question is, without removing any components/changing any settings from my computer, is there a way to ghost my current c:\ drive which is an ata/100 drive onto the new S-Ata drive without having any serious system problems? If so please describe the process...
I heard of a Norton ghost but I dont know if it will work...I do have a spare 70 gig external usb drive from my office which I can use as temp storage to move a ghosted image of my C drive to the new S-ata drive I ordered if thats even possible....what do you guys think?
