I got around to trying to make the switch.
However theres no link from my motherboard to the backplane. I connected to the J0 port from my port0 on my HBA (IBM M1015). And then I connected power. Thats about it..
Trying to decipher the instructions from supermicro.
Its the EL1 board from what I can tell (only SAS 8087 connectors on one side of the backplane).
Looking at the front of the chassi, theres no light in the drives at all. From what I can tell they are not spinning up.
