• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

Quick question. Currently, I'm still using my university email for the forums. Unfortunately, having graduated, my account will probably be deactivated shortly, probably within the next couple months at the most. Being unable to switch my profile to my gmail account (the ban on free, public email accounts), does anyone have any suggestions for me?

I'll have to look into it. I'm living at home for the time being, and I thought we only got 1 email (which would be my parents), but I'll have to double check.

Most major ISPs these days provide multiple email accts. You can probably forward it to another acct such as gmail.

Also, many universities provide grads with an alumni email.

The filter for banned email clients is a universal setting and cannot be reversed after the fact, There are a few old timers who signed up with a gmail years ago and still use it, but once they change anything in their profile, the system voids the email address and blocks access to the forums until an acceptable address is entered. No way around it and it will not change. Sorry.

Thanks for this info. I am one of these users. Unfortunately I have changed to a email provider which ceased to exists! As a result I just come here manually and check on my threads. No way for me to use the email.

ISP email is there, but I my email accounts have been designated for specific items. Hotmail forums, yahoo business etc etc.

I just registered a domain, and have everything in google apps.. works pretty well.

I don't use my ISP email at all except to receive their bill :D

check out inbox.com. It is a free public email that is apparently not very well known, and thus is not blocked by hardforum. I have been using it since I joined here with no problems. It can do SMTP and IMAP as well.

There are many free email clients out there that aren't blocked here on the [H]. That means we have had no problem with them being used for spamming or attacking the forums. As soon as one proves to be a problem, it is blacklisted.

Whooaaa crazy thread resurrection. Since we're here, anyone know of any free email clients that can be easily (i.e. free) forwarded to my gmail account?
